Kelly recently replaced the kitchen in our flat as
part of a programe of improvement works on behalf
of our landlords, Venture Housing Association.
Now the work
has been completed, we had to write and say a huge
thank you for making the process as painless as possible.
We had heard horror stories of no water or cooking
facilities for days on end from friends who had employed
contractors to carry out similar works. We had nightmares
about take away's every night and trying to wash dishes
in the bathroom basin, yikes!
I'm relieved to say we had a brief dry spell in the
kitchen - literally only overnight - and despite having
to reposition the cooker, and the electrical and gas
connections, we had cooking facilities every evening.
The work
was scheduled to start on the Monday and be completed
by the Friday. The guys arrived by 8 o'clock each
morning, immediately got stuck in and worked hard
all day ensuring the room was as clean and tidy
as possible by the end of each day. During the time
they spent on-site, they were polite, respectful
and extremely helpful. Once the work had been completed
the new cupboards, drawers, counter tops, tiling
and flooring were all thoroughly cleaned before
the last contractor left site.We now have a beautiful
new kitchen that has been installed and finished
to a very high standard. We are delighted with the
result and an experience which was considerably
less stressful than we suspected it might be.
